The Ofankor District-Ebenezer Mountains Assembly branch of The Church of Pentecost, continues to see fewer congregants during service, weeks after government’s green light for re-opening of religious centres.
On Sunday, July 19, 2020, the Ebenezer Mountains Assembly organised two services for church members with each service recording a low turn out of congregants.
Faithnewsgh.com observed that about a handful of 30 people were present for the second service at the church premises.
However, it was also noticed that all the Covid-19 health and safety protocols were in place as outlined by the the Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Kofi Dzamesi, on Monday June 1, 2020.
Members of the church were seen practising the physical distancing protocols. Veronica buckets, tissues, liquid soap and hand sanitizers were also available for members to wash and sanitize their hands before entering.
Nurses were present at the church premises to check the temperature of each and every one before they were permitted into the church.
Though the church was strictly adhering to the Covid-19 safety guidelines, some members still feel it was unsafe to come to church.
