The General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Mensa Otabil, says “God would not replay 2020” as some people are hoping for.
He explained that God wouldn’t replay the year 2020, which some people perceive as the most wasted year ever on the planet, “because in the midst of Sodom and Gomorra’s destruction, there is a parenthesis for Abraham and Sarah…God is creating a parenthesis of divine visitation”.
The man of God was preaching a sermon on the theme “It’s a new season (3)” on Sunday, August 23, 2020.
He added that believers will call 2020 the year of their upliftment even when everybody says everything has been destroyed.
“You will say in the year when there was the Corona Virus, when everything was in chaos, the Lord helped me to build this. In the year when everybody said things are down, God lifted me up”, he reassured.
According to Pastor Mensa Otabil, believers should expect a “bold, audacious, ridiculously and fantastic promise of God” for them.
He further entreated Christians to believe the promise of God just as Sarah did in the bible when angels said she would conceive and give birth in her old age.
