A prophet of the Lord’s Parliament Chapel has admonished Ghanaians to support in empowering Patricia Oduro Koranteng, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, to engender change in the youth.
According to Prophet Francis Amoako-Atta, the woman who was formerly a festish priestess but became a Christian proselyte after her arrest and prosecution, has been endued with a divine power capable of transforming the youth, if taken seriously especially in the perilous times.“She is more than what we see. She has a paternalistic power that overrides the powers of those men who have disappointed God in their ministries.
“Your conversion to the faith [Christianity] can influence people who are into blood money and all other socially reprehensible acts to change for the better and to serve God,” he said.
“In my vision, I saw that whenever she speaks, the crowd responds to and begin to receive their healings, so let us empower her to do the works of the ministry,” Prophet Francis Amoako-Atta added.
Madam Patricia, after denouncing her diety, declared that the title conferred on her was “evangelist” and must be addressed as such, but not as Nana Agradaa.
“The name my pastor has given me is Evangelist Patricia Oduro Koranteng. If today I’m seated here, the Lord has saved me and changed my name from Nana Agradaa,” she stated during a press conference she held on April 27, 2021 regarding her repentance.
However, the prophet holds the view that the name “Nana Agradaa” is more depicting of the devine power she possesses than the title “evangelist” for which reason she should have held on to the name.
He further urged the new convert to abstain from the use of social media to prove her repentance to her followers, because it is needless, adding, “it is God who blesses and elevates people, therefore He will do so at the appropriate time.”
Brief information about “Nana Agradaa”
Patricia Oduro Koranteng, as she is formally known, is the owner of now defunct two television stations—Thunder TV and Ice 1 TV.
She was host of a programme called “Sika Gari” in which she doubled money for interested individuals by some means people have described as charlantanic.
On April 20, 2021 a national security operation in collaboration with National Communications Authority (NCA) saw her arrest and the closure of her two television stations on account that she had been operating them without license.
She was subsequently granted a self-recongnizance bail of Gh¢5000 but was few hours later re-apprehended over alleged defamatory comments she passed on a clergyman popularly called Reverend Obofour.
On June 17, 2021, by a Circuit Court verdict, she was fined to a charge of Gh¢36,000.00 for operating the stations without license and for displaying the ritualistic objects, following her guilty plea.
By default, the Evangelist will serve three years imprisonment with hard labour for operating without a license and a year for displaying the objects, which would run concurrently.
