In the depths of the Red Sea, a powerful testimony of faith emerged, proving that even beneath the waves, Jesus reigns.
King David Nyamedor, a member of the Red Sea English Assembly of The Church of Pentecost in Eilat, Israel, recently accomplished a remarkable feat that exemplifies the unfailing presence of God.
On Friday, July 7, 2023, King David successfully completed his Divemaster Course at Aqua Sport Diving Club in Eilat. This comprehensive three-week certification programme immersed him in various aspects of diving, including Search and Recovery, Deep diving, Rescue diving, and Nitrox diving.
Driven by the Church’s vision to “possess the nations,” King David chose to display the flags of Ghana (his country of origin) and that of The Church of Pentecost beneath the vibrant red sea.
“I decided to showcase The Church of Pentecost to signify that even under the red sea, Jesus reigns,” he said in an interview with PENTECOST NEWS.
The gesture has received much commendation on social media as a powerful declaration of faith and a testament to his unwavering commitment to his Christian identity.
Mr Nyamedor’s graduation ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Apostle Seth Asante, the National Head of The Church of Pentecost in Israel.
Adding to the significance of the event, Her Excellency Mrs. Lydia Amartey, the Ghana Ambassador to Israel, along with the consulate, provided invaluable support and resources. Their delegation attended the graduation ceremony, further emphasising the unity and support of the Ghanaian community.
With hearts filled with gratitude, we acknowledge the glory that belongs to God alone. King David’s accomplishment not only represents personal achievement but also serves as an inspiring reminder that regardless of the depths we find ourselves in, Jesus is always present and reigning in our lives.
As we reflect on King David’s remarkable journey, let us be encouraged to pursue our own dreams, knowing that Christ’s sovereignty extends to every aspect of our lives. Even in the most unexpected places, even under the sea, Jesus reigns.
