Founder of World Miracle Outreach, Rev. Dr. Lawrence Tetteh has taken a jab at fellow men of God whose understanding of the Christian doctrine, especially prophesies is wayward.
The revered Evangelist who described the practice of fake prophesies as absolute “foolishness” boldly called out colleagues who subscribed to the ungodly practice.
Speaking on Kumasi-based Angel FM, he observed that though miracle is a key aspect of the church to restoring its credibility but succumbing to falsehood prophesies is insane.
“Why do you have to fake God’s miracle? Yes, I know people do that, but it is total foolishness beyond foolishness to fake miracles. But you know what, the only thing that will bring back credibility to the church is when we see a miracle,” Rev. Dr. Lawrence told Kwame Tanko, host of the flagship program.
The renowned teacher of the Gospel and the author of many books, including his most read piece ‘genuine prophets’ however indicated that there are still true prophesies.
“It is only a fool who will see a blind man’s eyes open and say it is fake,” he added.
Highlighting the importance of authenticity and integrity in spiritual matters while some Men of God may claim to perform miraculous acts, he underscores the essential to discern genuine experiences from deceptive practices.
While noting that faking miracles can undermine faith and trust as we navigate our spiritual journeys, Dr. Tetteh calls for the need to seek truth, sincerity, and a genuine connection with the divine as it fosters a stronger bond with our beliefs and allows us to grow spiritually.
“Leave it to God and he will take control,” he chronicles and cited obeying his commands amid trust as sang, “when we walk with the Lord”.
