Church of Pentecost invests GH₵26.5m in education

The Church of Pentecost has invested GH₵26,518,237.50 in the education sector in 2025 through its social intervention wing, Pentecost Social Services (PENTSOS).

Chairman of the Church, Apostle Dr. Eric Nyamekye, announced this at the 48th Session of the General Council Meetings, saying the investment reinforces the church’s commitment to human capital development and quality education.

He revealed that the church operates 108 educational institutions, including 104 basic schools, two Senior High Schools, and two vocational training institutes, serving 39,356 learners with 1,795 teaching staff and 564 non-teaching personnel.

Dr. Nyamekye noted that Five new classroom blocks were completed in Assin Fosu, Tweapease, Nkawkaw, Mankessim, and Nsawkaw, with 20 more under construction nationwide.

According to him, church also disbursed GH₵1,265,930.00 in scholarships and GH₵3,959,970.48 in apprenticeship and vocational training support.

He added that the church partnered with Samaritan’s Feet to distribute footwear to pupils, promoting dignity and school attendance.

These interventions reflect the church’s holistic approach to education, combining infrastructure, financial support, and social partnerships to transform lives.
