LGBTQI+ Bill: ‘Ghana is proud of you and your team’ – Bishop Agyinasare to Sam George

Presiding Bishop of Perez Chapel International, Charles Agyinasare has anointed the Deputy Ranking Member on Parliament’s Communications Committee, Samuel Nartey George as he leads his colleagues in pushing for the criminalisation of the LFGBTQ+ activities in the country.

The anointing, which took place on Sunday, October 11, 2021, during a church service, according to the bishop, was to draw out God’s protection to enable him to have the courage to speak against the course.Sam George

“Elder Hon. Samuel George, we pray that the Lord will keep and protect you and your parliamentary team on this mission to protect posterity.

“May you have utterance to speak with the tongue of the learned. Ghana is proud of you and your team,” said the Bishop during the sanctification.

Samuel Nartey George was ordained as Elder of the Perez Chapel International by Charles Agyinasare on Sunday, May 2, 2021.

Sam George led an eight-member team of Ghana’s Parliament who jointly submitted a private bill to push for the criminalization of LGBTQI+ activities in the country.

The ‘Bill on the Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values’, was presented to Speaker, Alban Bagbin on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.

The proponents of the bill want the promotion, advocacy, funding, and acts of homosexuality to be criminalised in the country.
