Dag-Heward Mills apologises to Asantehene over ‘offensive’ words

Founder and leader of Light House Chapel International, Bishop Dag-Heward Mills, has rendered an apology to ruler of the Ashanti Kingdom over a leaked video circulating on social media.

In the said video, the preacher man was speaking about leadership and how the actions of some leaders around the world have impacted lives in their communities, but the message was construed by many to be calumniating the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Explaining the circumstances surrounding the video, Dag-Heward Mills noted that the message he delivered some 20 years past, was “taken out of context” and circulated by some individuals who have determined to sabotage him and to maliciously cause the closure of his churches in Kumasi.

He nonetheless acknowledged the accomplishments of the king in helping improve upon lives and said “…I deeply regret that my words spoken almost twenty years ago have offended this honorable institution, who has worked tirelessly for many years to make Ghana and the world a better place for all of us to live.”
